  The event definitely plays a part in improving economic development as it draws thousands of visitors to the region as well as makes use of the local businesses as much as possible. The event also contributed 10% of profits to charity.  
     
  For 2 days each year, thousands of spectators gather in Ceres to witness South Africa’s premier hill-climb event. The event draws thousands of visitors each year to Ceres and surrounding towns.  
     
  Due to the influx of people in the area over the event weekend, most businesses benefit from good trade.  
     
  We have a social awareness policy, which we commit to each year by donating 10% of profits to the Ceres Youth Forum.  
     
 
In 2007, the event received phenomenal exposure through various media such as print, web, radio and TV (to be broadcast soon).
 
     
 
The King of the Mountain has been structured to make use of the local businesses to service the required needs in hosting an event such as the King of the Mountain.
